Mrs. Dollie Austin-Felty was born September 13, 1879, in White County, Ill., near Carmi. She was the youngest daughter of Benjamin and Susan Austin. She died at her home in Springerton, Ill., February 20, 1920, aged 40 years, 5 months and 7 days.

She was united in marriage to Mr. Charles Edward Felty December 4, 1896. To this union were born six children, Ferdy, Floyd, Charles, Irene, John Crebs, and Verna.

She united with the Christian church at the age of 15 years and was a member of the Seven Mile Christian church. Early in youth she gave her life to the Lord and she was a true devoted christian all along life's journey and was prepared to meet her Lord when he called he to her heavenly home. She was a good and faithful wife, a loving mother, a dear kind sister and was good and kind to all those around her.

Besides her husband and six children and one grandchild, she leaves four sisters and four brothers, Mrs. Alice Tarrent, Mrs. Josie Hubley, Mr. Isaac Austin, of Carmi, Mr. Elisha Austin, of Enfield, Mrs. Maggie Heifner, of Wayne City, Mr. Elijah Austin, of McLeansboro, Mr. William Austin, of Broughton, Mrs. Arminta Jourdan, of Evansville, Ind., and a host of friends to mourn for her.

We have lost our darling mother
She has bid us all adieu
She has gone to live in heaven
And her person is lost in view.
Oh that darling, how we loved her
Oh how hard to give her up
But an angel came down for her
And removed her from our flock.

Funeral services were conducted by Bro. Musgraves at the Christian church in Springerton February 22, 1920.
