Heart Attack Fatal to Mrs. Barbara Felty
Well Known Woman of Trumbull Is
Stricken While Returning Home

Death claimed another lifelong resident of White county when Mrs. Barbara Felty, aged 57 years, expired from an attack of heart trouble shortly after returning to her home near Trumbull after a visit to the village store. Leaving the store Mrs. Felty was seen by neighbors sitting in a distressed condition on the railway track. They assisted Mrs. Felty to her home where her death occurred shortly after.
The deceased was born November 13, 1866, and at the time of her death, which occurred Saturday, September 13, she was aged 57 years and 28 days. She was united in marriage November 25, 1884, to Vain Felty and eight children were born to them, two having preceded their mother in death. The surviving children are Orlando, Barbara, John and Versa, of Carmi; Newton and Herbert Felty of East St. Louis, Ill. She also leaves nine grandchildren.
While a young woman Mrs. Felty united with the Evangelical church of North Carmi, and among the last words that she uttered was that she could go home to glory.
The funeral service was conducted by Rev. E. O. Habegger, pastor of the Carmi Evangelical church, from the residence Monday afternoon at one o'clock and burial took place in the Reib cemetery.
