Fred Wesley Burris

Fred Wesley Burris, 62, of Maunie died at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Carmi Township Hospital.

He was born June 15, 1914 in White County, the son of Jasper and Jennie Marie Files Burris and was married Dec. 18, 1939 in Henderson, Ky. to Sarah Allen Hargraves, who survives.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, Sarah, are a nephew, Charles Burris of National City, Calif.; a brother, Gilbert Burris of Carmi; a sister, Mrs. Mark (Ruby) Frashier of Route 3, Carmi; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Kittinger-Fair Funeral Home Chapel, with Dannie Martin officiating. Interment will be in Marshall Ferry Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Funeral services for Fred Wesley Burris were held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Kittinger-Fair Funeral Home Chapel, with Dannie F. Martin officiating.

Music was provided by the Marshall Ferry Church Choir.

Casket bearers were Ricky Burris, Aubry Catlin, Mike DeLong, Bill DeLong, Fred Driggers and Jim DeLong. Interment was in Marshall Ferry Cemetery.
