Mrs. Jennie Bell Claimed By Death
Mrs. Jennie Dean Bell, 69, who made her home on North Eighth Street in Carmi, died this morning at five o'clock at the White County Nursing Home here. She has been ill for the past two years and was hospitalized several times during that period, then entered the Nursing Home in September 1954.
She was the daughter of William and Eliza Chapman Bolerjack and was born in Carmi on September 18, 1885. She was a lifelong resident of this city.
For several years she had been affiliated with the Carmi Pentecostal Church and was held in esteem by all with whom she was acquainted.
Four sons, Phillip and Carl Dean of Carmi; John Dean of Enfield and Corporal Paul Dean in the U.S. Army stationed in California, and one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Sturm of Carmi, survive along with nine grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
The body is at the Kittinger Funeral Home awaiting funeral arrangements.
