Mrs. Nannie Bell Claimed By Death Thursday Morning
Mrs. Nannie Mae Bell, 72, widow of Charles M. Bell, died at 4:20 this morning (Thursday) at her home at 407 Second Street in Carmi. She had been ill for about 3½ months.
Mrs. Bell had lived in Carmi for the past 15 years and in White County for the past 30. She was a member of the First Methodist Church in Carmi.
The body is lying in state at the Kittinger Funeral Home pending completion of funeral arrangements.
Surviving are two sons, Sherman and Charles H., both of Carmi; two daughters, Mrs. Lou Carr and Mrs. Adleigh Albright, both of Mt. Vernon, Indiana; one sister, Mrs. Ollie Saltzman, Mt. Vernon, Indiana; 12 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
