Mrs. Dorothy D. Chastain
Mrs. Dorothy D. Chastain, 74, a resident of Carmi, died early this morning at the Alton Memorial Hospital.
She was born Nov. 7, 1903, the daughter of John and Jennie Bolerjack Dean and was married to William Sturm, who preceded her in death. Later she married Robert S. Chastain, who survives.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, Robert, are two daughters; one step-son, Robert Chastain of Carmi; a step-daughter, Mrs. Emma Daniel of Crossville; and three brothers, Carl Dean of Carmi and John and Paul Dean, both of Phoenix, Ariz.
Funeral arrangements are pending at the Donald Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi.

Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy D. Chastain will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Donald Campbell Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. L. M. Huff, Jr., officiating. Interment will be in Big Prairie Cemetery.
The name of Don Chastain, a step-son of Vallejo, Calif., was omitted in the listing of the survivors in the initial announcement.
The names of daughters who survive are Mrs. Pauline Yeager of Wilmington, N.C. and Mrs. Vina Ricevuto of Portage, Ind.
Friends may call after 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Funeral services for Dorothy D. Chastain were held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of the Donald Campbell Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Lutz officiating.
Casketbearers were Charles Cartmill, Joe Colson, Donald King, Don Pollard, John Whybark and Gilbert Wohlhueter. Mrs. Shirley Lantrip was the organist while Mrs. Barbar Whybark sang. Interment was in Big Prairie Cemetery.
