Phillip Dean

Phillip Dean, 68, a resident of 716 Smith Street in Carmi, died at 5:10 a.m. Friday at Wabash Christian Retirement Center.

He was born Aug. 20, 1909 in White County, the son of John and Jennie Bolerjack Dean and was married Oct. 10, 1942 to Inez Greer who survives. He was a retired carpenter.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, Inez, are four daughters, Phyllis Tougaw of West Salem, Dana Harrison of Brighton, Barbara Harper of Fairfield and Mardella Frashier of Maunie; three brothers, John and Paul Dean, both of Phonix, Ariz. and Carl of Carmi; one sister, Dorothy Chastain of Carmi; and five grandchildren. One infant daughter preceded him in death.

Funeral arrangements are pending at Kittinger-Fair Funeral Home.
