Arthur E. Maurer, Carmi
Arthur E. Maurer, 75, of Carmi, died at 8:32 a.m. today at the Carmi Township Hospital.
He was born Oct. 31, 1910, in White County, the son of Harry and Barbara Felty Maurer.
He was employed as a mail carrier for the Carmi Post Office, and had been recognized in the past year for over 30 years of service with a perfect work attendance record.
He is survived by his wife, Luella; a son, Richard of Evansville; two daughters, Patricia Randol of Marion and Lenora Ellen Rushing of Carmi; one brother, Homer, of Crossville; two step-sisters, Pearl Ellis and Betty Morgan, both of Carmi; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral arrangements are pending at Kittinger-Fair Funeral Home.

Arthur Maurer, Carmi
Funeral services for Arthur Maurer were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Kittinger-Fair Funeral Home with the Rev. Leon Cochran officiating.
Members of the First Pentecostal Church choir sang “One Day at a Time” and “In the Sweet Bye and Bye”.
Serving as casketbearers were Dale Orr, Bernard Hughes, Frank Elliot, Don Winkleman, Dalton Aud and Oval Pretzsch.
Burial was in Newman Cemetery.
