Carmi Woman Succumbs Today

Death came to Mrs. Katie Little at the White County Nursing Home at 2:30 this morning, after an illness of several months. She was 59 years of age and had resided in and near Carmi during her entire life.

She was born near Carmi on August 18, 1896, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Maurer and prior to being taken to the Nursing Home, she resided at 405 Dohuty street. She attended the East Side Pentecostal Church.

Surviving are two stepsons, Robert Little of New Harmony, Indiana, and Claude A. Little of East Prairie, Missouri; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Mary Breeden, of Moorhouse, Misouri; four brothers, Jacob, John, Harry and Reuben Maurer, all of Carmi, and two sisters, Mrs. Helen Smiley and Mrs. Lilly Brady, both of Carmi.

The body is at the Kittinger Funeral Home where funeral arrangements are pending.
