Ben Sturm Dies In Hospital Here

Ben M. Sturm, 86, retired Route 2, Crossville farmer, passed away Monday at 4:36 p.m. in Carmi Township Hospital.

Mr. Sturm was born December 22, 1885, the son of George and Caroline (Ridenour) Sturm.

He was married December 25, 1907 in Phillips Township to Tina Groff, who survives.

Three sons, Maurice and Harold, both of Crossville, and Ronald, Beaver Falls, Pa., also survive Mr. Sturm, along with a sister, Mrs. Phillip (Susan) Fieber, Grayville.

Other survivors include 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Sturm was a 65-year member of Bethel Methodist Church, north of Crossville, and a member of the White County Farm Bureau.

Services will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Sturm Funeral Home in Grayville, with the Rev. Edward Minor in charge of services. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m. and after 3 p.m. Wednesday.
